Heritage Le Telfair
This elegant resort is located within a natural reserve on the south side of Mauritius. Its golf course, range of fabulous restaurants and kids club for all ages makes it one of the best resorts for families in Mauritius.
Top reasons why Claire loves Heritage Le Telfair
I stayed at Heritage Le Telfair with my family in January 2023. We had a wonderful holiday here.
The highlight of our stay at Heritage Le Telfair was definitely the food. The quality of the food was better than any other all-inclusive hotels we had ever stayed at (and just about anywhere else too!). As we aren’t fans of buffets, Heritage Le Telfair was ideal because most nights, all the restaurants at the resort were a la carte. I loved that even though Annabella’s, the resorts main restaurant, was at a la carte for grown ups most evenings, there still was a buffet for the children.
We enjoyed the variety of dining options on offer thanks to the dine around program part of the Gourmet Bliss all-inclusive programme. We could choose between more than 10 dining options including restaurants at neighbouring sister resort Heritage Awali, fine-dining colonial Le Chateau, the beach club and the Grill at the golf course.
Set on a large domain, the resort feels spacious even at busy times; when we stayed there the resort was at full capacity, but it never felt like it.
Heritage Le Telfair’s charming colonial architecture truly sets it apart from other resorts in Mauritius. Located within beautifully manicured gardens and along a wonderful stretch of white sandy beach in the south of the island, we though Heritage Le Telfair was the ideal spot for exploring the island.
One morning, we went on a dolphin spotting boat trip and we snorkelled with UNESCO heritage site Le Morne mountain as a backdrop. This was an unforgettable moment! We visited the extraordinary site of Chamarel and it’s 7-coloured earths. And we spent an afternoon at La Vanille wildlife park, where we met giant turtles and crocodiles.
The rooms at Heritage Le Telfair are huge! Even the entry-level room, the Deluxe Suites, are 64m2 and large enough to comfortably fit a family of 4 willing to share their space. Larger suites such the amazing Ocean Beach Front suites provide more space, separate areas and lots of extra benefits.
